What You’ll Do
- Our Customer Support Engineers serve as the first point of contact in the company by supporting internal teams and external customers on live issues.
- Work towards resolving and driving production bugs to resolution.
- Own and drive the process by identifying the affected area, apply intermediate resolution where relevant, assign to the proper stakeholder in engineering and follow up on the resolution.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in select technological areas, including building workarounds and best practices in production
- Fully and accurately document troubleshooting and problem-resolution steps.
Basic Requirements
- 2+ years experience as a Customer Support Engineer
- Basic knowledge of NoSQL, such as MongoDB
- Experience using log management tools for troubleshooting like Datadog or Grafana
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to details
- Display a customer-centric mindset, focusing primarily on internal customers
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication skills when interacting with internal stakeholders, always prioritizing their satisfaction and striving to exceed their expectations
- Ambitious, driven, self-starters with ability to thrive and adapt in a constantly changing environment
- The role is based in Chicago, IL, with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Angular or similar FE Frameworks + Node or Javascript
- Experience working in the insurance or finance industry
