Senior Marketing Data Analyst

About the Work:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Marketing Analyst to join our centralized Data Analytics team. This analyst will be a key member of the Data Analytics team and is the subject matter expert (SME) for Marketing and Communication. Being part of the Data Analytics team means this analyst will work with other analysts who are the SMEs for other areas of the organization, follow best practices for data pipelining, data modeling, and creating dashboards and insights. They will take an active role in reviewing PRs, building and maintaining our data repository, and managing our self-service analytics (Looker). 

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, conducting competitive analysis, and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. This role will provide critical insights to support data-driven decision-making and optimize our marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources (e.g., website analytics, paid media, social media, television advertising, and customer feedback) to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Campaign Performance: Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through metrics such as ROI, customer acquisition cost, and conversion rates. Provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape. Create detailed reports to inform marketing strategies.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the management of the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, data engineering/data platform, and finance to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Tool Management: Utilize and manage marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and marketing automation software.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in analytics are a plus.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a marketing analyst role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g.,Looker, SQL, dbt, Python, Google Analytics,) and familiarity with marketing platforms (e.g., Google ads, Invoca, Meta Business manager, Innovid, DMP’s, DV360, SFMC, etc..).
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when dealing with data.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Our range reflects the hiring range for this position.  We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company.  Individual pay is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.


Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program.  Honor offers generous equity packages that increase with position level and responsibilities, and a 401K with up to a 4% employer match.
We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including zero cost plans for employees.  Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance are fully employer paid with a voluntary additional Life Insurance option.  We offer a generous time off program, mental health benefits, wellness program, and discount program.

 

Hiring Salary Range

$133,200 - $145,000 USD

Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Most of our positions are remote/work from home and do not require permanent relocation. As conditions allow, we have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Austin, TX, and Omaha, NE hubs.
