Job Summary:

A Process Improvement Business Analyst is responsible for serving as a liaison between the business and IT, by documenting current state business processes, designing and implementing future state business processes, defining problems and identifying opportunities, troubleshooting issues faced by end users, recommending solutions, performing testing, assisting in training and organizational change management initiatives, etc. The business analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, functional leads, functional consultants, developers, project managers, product owners, etc. The business analyst should have knowledge of how technology and systems are utilized to solve business problems across various departments. They should have an enterprise-wide view of business processes and have a continuous process improvement mindset. They should also have the depth of knowledge in certain business areas and systems. The business analyst will also support HP Hood as they deploy a transformational multi-year project to implement SAP S4HANA ERP & Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution to all company offices, plants and warehouses.

This role will require on average 15%-25% travel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Champion process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean) and the value of continuous improvement
  • Document end-to-end current state business processes (e.g., process maps), modeling/mapping data; design & implement future state business processes
  • Define and document business problems, identify opportunities, troubleshoot issues faced by end users, recommend solutions. Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Assist in training and organizational change management initiatives
  • Work with business stakeholders to determine cost impacts/savings and resources required for improvements to business processes
  • Serve as a liaison between business, functional and technical stakeholders, and the core project team
  • Identify inefficiencies and waste in business processes
  • Ensure all end users are performing their tasks as defined by their roles and responsibilities
  • Understand overall business processes (OTC, PTP, PTM, ITD & RTR) and how they are interconnected
  • Gain in-depth understanding of certain legacy applications
  • Contributes to the SAP & PLM solution by becoming familiar with the current state and future state business processes, interim-state processes, business requirements, liaising between the facility and the core project team on a variety of topics
  • Gather certain configuration values from the business stakeholders to assist functional teams
  • Identify end-to-end business scenarios for testing, identify users for User Acceptance Testing, and help to train those users to successfully execute the test scripts.
  • Prepare business test scripts and perform testing in quality environment and document the results
  • Participates in data cleansing, construction, conversion for the facility in preparation of the ERP & PLM
  • Contribute to facility contingency planning, change readiness assessments, help develop training materials and conduct end user trainings as required.
  • Support ERP & PLM Go-Lives at all facilities as This will include providing Hypercare support, cutover activities, helping to resolve help desk tickets, creating required documentation.
  • After ERP & PLM Implementation, serves as an expert assisting the business, acting as a “first line of defense” for ongoing functional/technical process This could include taking after-hours calls for help desk tickets, troubleshooting production issues, providing resolutions, conducting root cause analysis and working to continuously improve the process.

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics or Engineering preferred and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience using SAP ERP or a similar ERP/PLM system
  • Functional & business knowledge in some areas of “Plan to Manufacture”, which includes demand planning, sales & operations planning, production planning & execution, materials requirement planning, quality planning &

inspections, batch management and plant maintenance or in some areas of “Inventory to Deliver”, which includes

 

inbound, outbound & internal warehouse processes, yard management, dock appointment, warehouse automation, voice picking, direct store delivery, cross-plant goods movement, inventory management, transportation and distribution.

  • Deep and comprehensive knowledge of both enterprise-wide business processes and of SAP ERP/PLM (or a similar ERP system) functionality and related tools/systems.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise-wide master data and transaction data
  • Knowledge of key software integration
  • Experience working in a consumer goods, manufacturing, warehousing or distribution company is preferred
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma Certification a strong plus
  • Full-scale, full-cycle implementation project experience supporting the enablement of enterprise-wide business processes in SAP or a similar ERP/PLM system is preferred.

  • Highly collaborative work Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful professional working relationships. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced project environment.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Will be expected to communicate to employees and suppliers at all levels (including company executives) via face to face meetings, conference calls, written messages and project documentation. Ideal candidate must have excellent documentation skills, presentation skills and meeting facilitation
  • Creative and Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Can do attitude.
  • Ability to react under pressure to any given situation that may arise, in a professional manner and with positive results, in support of a multi-location, 7 X 24 environment.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is

$91,000 - $108,200 USD
