Job Summary:

Leads all sales activities as they relate to Walmart, Inc.  focusing on branded, licensed and private label segments. Direct and manage all facets of team support to elevate Hood position with customer: sales analysts, category manager, replenishment and broker network. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Volume and profit goals through effective strategic, tactical development and execution
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customer and internal stakeholders
  • Continued development of customer communication on business trends, financials and opportunities
  • Fosters relationships with operations team to analyze complex ship points and production capabilities
  • Create strategic brand specific plans within each category to driver leadership position with customer
  • Quickly identify risks and opportunities with solutions for intern/external teams
  • Coordinates and supports the development of key innovation meetings, line reviews and standard weekly reporting to buyers
  • Effective financial management to include; trade spend, overhead costs, brokerage revenue expenditures, T&E etc.
  • Leads demand planning interaction for scheduled updates on sales trends, new modulars and key changes in business
  • Maintain close communication with various Hood LLC departments, such as pricing, marketing, operations, Research & Development, and Customer Service.
  • Maintain effective leadership and market relationship of divisional broker resources.
  • Be aware of and react to competitive products and activities. Ensure divisional team is effectively identifying and communicating and reacting to competitive intelligence.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Management with 8+ years of related experience managing and directing high profile, high volume, complex accounts.
  • Experience in the CPG field strongly preferred with large strategic retailer
  • Experience managing a broker network at both the HQ and field retail level.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Foundational selling and negotiation skills with proven track record of exceeding objectives.
  • Experience and skill in creating financial recommendations utilizing P&L analysis.
  • Ability to develop accurate rolling forecasts and strategically problem solve.
  • Creativity and understanding of product development process, while developing innovative approaches and ideas through in-depth analysis.
  • Must possess strong computer skills.
  • High degree of integrity and accountability.
  • Proven track record of building collaborative relationship.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, as well as ability to change approach or method to best fit the situation.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers, a must, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, inclusive of timely follow up.
  • Sets and achieves challenging goals

  • Travel 25-50
  • Must be located in Bentonville, AR area
  • Ability to work from Broker office or home office

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is

$158,300 - $180,700 USD
