General Description/Purpose:
The Group Specialized Operator is responsible for completing assigned production duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Group Specialized Operator does this by providing support to all areas in the production facility as assigned by supervisor/lead. The Group Specialized Operator is also competent in forklift operations, line operations, fillers, milk receiving, and batching processing. The Group Specialized Operator also begins to train and build competence on key areas on and palletizing. The Group Specialized Operator also covers breaks and lunches as assigned by their supervisor. The Group Specialized Operator completes these functions in the support of the manufacture of dairy related products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving assigned goals in the area of production, safety, quality, performance, and cost.
- Notifies others of mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities and begins to assist with resolving concerns.
- Responsible for complying with GMP’s, SOP’s, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.
- Competently works in the following areas of the production facility; forklift operations, line operations, fillers, milk receiving, and batching processing and begins to train and build competence on key areas in production such as palletizing.
- Responsible for knowing all line circuits and ensures proper hookups are made in the facility.
- Cover’s breaks and lunches and other staffing needs as assigned by their supervisor/lead.
- Compliant with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing and safety on their assigned shift and reports concerns to their supervisor/lead.
- Works in a safe manner and reports safety concerns promptly to their supervisor/lead and takes corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
- Responsible for reporting food safety problems and initiating action and for supporting SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality.
- Ensures work areas are sanitary and strictly adheres to sanitation practices
- Communicates effectively between shifts and other departments

- Meet the job requirements
- Must have been in current position for at least one year, or have your manager’s approval.
- Must have satisfactory job performance in current position.
- Must have no active written corrective action warning on file. Verbal Corrective actions that are active and written corrective actions that have expires will not be used to disqualify an applicant. Lateral of downward bids are permitted.
- The successful bidder on any job may not bid on another position for 12 months.

The pay range for this position is
$29.89 - $30.47 USD
