Job Summary:
Acts as subject matter expert for the plants SQF system and maintains Quality documentation systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain, verify and validate SQF Program for the plant.
• Be a member of the Ethical Sourcing Program Management Team and support continuous improvement of the program.
• Oversee monthly GMP audits within facility and assure completion of corrective action(s).
• Maintains Quality Management System (QMS) by: Providing guidance, support and review of Quality Policies, Procedures, Forms and Visual Aids.
• Cooperatively maintain Corrective and Preventative Action Program with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure effective and lasting actions, timely closeout of CAPA closeouts and verification of lasting efficacy.
• In conjunction with site Quality Assurance manager, support all Internal and External Audits (SQF, IMS, NYS, 3rd Party, etc.)
• Ensures proper Quality system outcomes by monitoring internal and external audit corrective actions and customer compliance.
• Initiate and manage new product implementations and associated documentation related to product commercialization and Operation Management of Change routing sheets at the plant level
• Other tasks as requested by the Quality Assurance Manager to support facility programs, systems, etc.
Education and Experience:
• BS in Science/related field or 4+ years of experience in aseptic or ESL discipline
• SQF Practitioner – Must have certification already, or be able to pass SQF Practitioner Exam
• Successful completion of Preventive Controls for Human Food
• Familiar with Microsoft Suites, Quality Data Entry Systems, Warehouse ERP Systems
• Must have understanding of Environmental Monitoring Practices in a Food Manufacturing setting
• The ability to have a flexible schedule is a critical to fully support this role
o Expectation is that trainings and other requirements on off-shifts will be covered as required
• Physical/Mental requirements including, but not limited to: mobility through plant, lifting, multiple task management, succeeding in a fast-paced environment, stress management, etc.
Performance Standards:
• Comply with performance criteria, standards of conduct, employment procedures and responsibilities as described in the HP Hood Guidebook and applicable site supplement.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental protocols, procedures and training. Maintain a safe work environment at all times and immediately report and take appropriate action to correct safety concerns.
• Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices, including GMP dress code standards.
• Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work at scheduled times and communicating tardiness and absences according to the Call-Off Procedure and Attendance Policy.
Environmental Concerns:
• May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacture of food products including allergens.
• May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacture and sanitation of a food processing facility.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
The pay range for this position is
$73,300 - $83,000 USD
