Job Summary:
HP Hood, LLC is looking for a highly motivated and leadership driven intern to join our FS&Q team. Our Summer Intern program offers students a paid opportunity to work in a technical environment and contribute to our food safety & quality programs. The opportunity will provide real-life experiences to apply your education. Responsible for the completion of assigned project work related to standardizing our analytical channels across our manufacturing facility labs and standardizing our sensory evaluation procedures. They will work with a talented team who have extensive experience in the food manufacturing industry.

NOTE: This paid internship is for 2026, temporary full-time for approximately 3 months during normal business hours M-F. Intern will be working in our HP Hood Technical Center in Wilmington, MA. Potential travel to other Hood facilities as opportunities arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts assigned projects while increasing the incumbent’s level of understanding of projects, processes, and methods.
- Provides technical or scientific direction through research on assigned project.
- Exhibits strong understanding of food safety and quality systems
- Ability to collect, extract, evaluate, and organize data from multiple sources
- Maintains a professional record of the work completed.
- Present findings of the project to management team when completed.
- Travel to our manufacturing plants expected, approximately 30%
Education and Experience:
- Food and Agricultural Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Nutrition Sciences, and other Biological Sciences; Undergraduate and Graduate Levels
Skills and Competencies:
- Able to apply math, statistics, science, and other technical knowledge to solve real world problems and develop robust solutions.
- Seeks out knowledge and is able to quickly grasp technical concepts and grow personal expertise.
- Manages time effectively by understanding assignment requirements, prioritizing objectives, and scheduling tasks accordingly.

The anticipated pay for this position is $27.00 per hour.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
The pay range for this position is
$27 - $27 USD
