Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, Marketing Sales and Analytics supports the effort to bring the brand to market while evaluating in market sales performance. This positions supports brand initiatives working with the Hood Sales Team, Sales Operations, and the trade. analysis of in market results and leverage that analysis to affect in market programs, brand strategy, and account strategy. The analytics lead will also work with the Director of Strategic Planning to monitor and evaluate the results of brand related research projects. This position is critical to the brand being in a proactive vs. a reactive position in market.
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
- Support brand on Sales Operations projects (including Trade Marketing, Forecasting, and Category Management)
- Lead in market performance analysis (IRI and shipments) for the brand
- Lead general market research projects and distillation of results to marketing (working with Market Research Director)
- Lead annual/quarterly sales presentations and business updates
- Lead ASM program initiatives from RFP through evaluation and execution
- Drive story telling through the power of data and leveraging that data
- Partner with sales to set in market objectives for key brand initiatives
- Assess how the brands/key initiatives are doing in market against the most important metrics; be able to recognize opportunities to capitalize on as well as needs to retool against weaknesses or threats
- Determine if brand’s trade strategy is effective against key metrics; recast strategy accordingly
- Work with Sales to be able to tell fact based/insight driven stories to meet brand objectives (execution against strategy)
- Act as command central” in a war room operation for the brand
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 0-3 years relevant experience in marketing or at a marketing agency
- Expertise in IRI data strongly preferred
- Experiencing building sales presentations for CPG brands preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing complicated projects with multiple stakeholders
- An ideal candidate would have some Sales/Sales Operations experience

- Knowledge of brand management/marketing principles
- Analytical skills and ability to translate all forms of data into actionable insights, as well present the data.
- Ability to lead different parts of the Sales organization at it relates to in market brand strategy execution
- Superior communication skills with the ability to work BOTH independently and part of a team. Must be an active listener, as well.
- Detail orientated and solution driven
- Collaborative; build teams and lift people up
- Ability to synthesize data and make decisions
- Ability to define and focus on the critical path to success in any situation
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
The pay range for this position is
$75,000 - $100,000 USD
