IT Deployment Technician-Temporary

This is a temporary, on-site position that will begin as soon as possible and is estimated to run through the end of August.

Horace Mann is currently seeking a IT Deployment Technician to support our Windows 11 migration efforts. We are specifically looking for an individual with the ability to assist users with printer installations remotely, over the phone.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:40 PM CST

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage a calendar of scheduled printer installation appointments
• Provide remote assistance for printer setup and troubleshooting
• Support device imaging, hardware unpacking, and repackaging as needed

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Degree or diploma in a computer-related program at an accredited technical college.
• Familiarity with printer installation and configuration (both local and network).
• Experience in a desktop computing support role is preferred, with preference given to candidates with over 1 year of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of IT concepts and overall strategies, methodologies, practices & procedures.
• Some exposure to network components such as switches, firewalls and Wi-Fi access points.
• Highly desirable if you have experience using PXE or Server Based Imaging with to install Windows 11 onto new computers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented, customer service focused, and good Interpersonal Skills.
• Punctual and dependable, with a professional attitude. 

What you will do:

• Assist with Windows 11 migration tasks
• Provide remote support for printer installations over the phone
• Monitor and manage a calendar of printer installation appointments
• Help with imaging computers as part of the deployment process
• Assist with unboxing and re-boxing hardware as needed

 

 

 

Pay Range:

• $17.00/hr

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
