Supplemental Associate Underwriter
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Underwriter to join our growing underwriting team. This role involves evaluating and analyzing risks for various insurance products including Accident, Cancer, Heart, Disability, Hospital Indemnity, and Critical Illness coverage. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a desire to grow in the underwriting profession.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and analyze risk for health and life insurance products including Accident, Cancer, Heart, Disability, Hospital Indemnity, and Critical Illness.

Participate in structured on-the-job training to build knowledge and proficiency in underwriting practices.

Review and assess collected materials for risk appraisal and underwriting decision-making.

Oversee and coordinate requests for additional underwriting documentation, such as Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs), inspections, application verifications, medical questionnaires, and other required forms.

Communicate effectively and professionally with agents, applicants, company employees, and sales representatives to discuss underwriting policies, procedures, and medical-related inquiries.

Apply underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures accurately and consistently.

Ensure timely and professional communication through phone, email, and written correspondence with both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in application verification preferred.

Prior experience in underwriting or life/health insurance is a strong plus.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Range:
- $22.31 - $32.91 per hour.
Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
