Job Title: Staff Analyst – Banking & Investments
Location: Hybrid - Springfield, IL
Position Summary
The Staffing Analyst – Banking & Investments supports daily cash management, banking operations, and investment activities. This role assists with budgeting, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives while serving as a key point of contact with banking partners. The position also ensures compliance with internal controls and supports corporate treasury operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily banking activities, including cash positioning, short-term investments, and long-term investment transactions.
- Process and reconcile daily bank activity.
- Assist with projects related to cash collections, disbursements, and broader cash management initiatives.
- Support the preparation and review of annual budgets for banking and investment-related expenses; track actuals and provide monthly variance analysis.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for banking partners and assist in resolving operational issues.
- Review and update cash management procedures to ensure compliance with SOX (Section 404) and disaster recovery requirements.
- Support management in the operational aspects of capital structure oversight.
- Participate in cross-functional and corporate projects as needed.
- Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year of experience in banking, treasury, or financial analysis preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
Compensation: $27.64 - $38.03
