Software Architect (Sr. Full-Stack Drupal Lead)

About the Role
We’re looking for a Software Architect (Sr. Full-Stack Drupal Lead) to spearhead the development of cutting-edge web solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Drupal, AWS, Azure, and container-based deployments, particularly in an enterprise environment. You will drive the architecture, development, and integration of complex web applications while ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with federal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Architect: Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable web systems with a focus on Drupal.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a hands-on technical project manager, guiding development teams from concept to delivery.
- Platform Integration: Oversee the integration of Drupal web content platforms with federal systems (on-prem and cloud) while ensuring security and accessibility compliance (Section 508).
- Data Management: Plan and execute data migration and reporting activities with a keen eye on performance and security.
- AI-Assisted Development: Leverage AI-assisted programming tools such as GitHub Copilot and Gemini to optimize development workflows.
- Agile Development: Contribute to all phases of the product lifecycle using Agile/SAFe methodologies in a fast-paced federal environment.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide technical mentorship to development teams, fostering best practices in full-stack development.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all solutions align with federal standards, enterprise architecture guidelines, and security best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of full-stack development experience, with 5+ years in Drupal.
- Proven expertise in Drupal Webform Module development and custom connector design.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container-based deployments.
- Strong background in Agile/SAFe methodologies; Agile/SAFe certifications preferred.
- Experience integrating federal systems and ensuring compliance with DOL OCIO technical guidelines.
- Preferred: Drupal/Acquia Certification and experience with AI programming tools.
