We are currently seeking an Agile Project Manager for a full-time position, remotely supporting the Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society (NFFS) Integrated Casting Order Network (ICON) portal.

Horizon Industries Limited (Horizon) is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area and we are currently seeking an IT Consultant for a full-time position remotely. 

Program Overview: 

The program includes support for existing and new system development, sustainment and maintenance operations using advanced technology that continues to promote the growth of the ICON portal capabilities. To accomplish these objectives requires skill and knowledge across the full spectrum of project management, standard web-based sustainment, development, and testing.  These include but are not limited to requirements definition management, database design, information systems application design, software systems engineering, documentation development and maintenance, testing, and implementation. The APM will identify application deficiencies and ensure that the application portal is appropriately sized and tuned for the most efficient operation/performance possible.  Additional enhancements will include adding a capability for secure, classified transactions. 

Duties of an Agile Project Manager may include but are not limited to

  • Uses consultative skills and business knowledge to advise on business objectives, processes, and systems integration.  
  • Analyzes the client's Information Technology business needs, collects relevant data, research problems and potential solutions and recommends courses of action.  
  • Collects information through interviews and surveys to draw and support conclusions.  
  • Develops and/or reviews final reports for clients and creates, reviews, and delivers presentations on findings. 
  • Manages Agile processes, requirements, Jira and other technical documentation. 
  • Delivers multiple Agile projects and remove blockers using the appropriate project management methodology. 
  • Defines the roadmap with the Product Owner for any given product and translate into user stories. 
  • Prioritizes the user stories within product backlog. 
  • Manages a multi-disciplinary team of developers, DBA and testers. 
  • Implements Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes. 
  • Manages IT development, operations and maintenance support. 
  • Provide hands-on experience and leadership to the teams that support and develop ICON with the following: AWS Cloud tools: DB2, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Tomcat, React, Auth0, AWS S3 Cloud, Java, and others. 

 

Required Skills / Experience:  

  • 4+ years relevant IT Project Management experience. 
  • 4+ years experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases.  
  • 4+ years experience with cybersecurity development and operations in a cloud environment. 
  • Certified Scrum Master. 
  • PMP Certified. 
  • Occasional travel to onsite locations (to be determined). 

 

Clearance: Required to possess current SECRET Security Clearance eligibility. 

Education: Undergraduate degree in IT or Cybersecurity field. 

Location: Remote. 

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 (based on experience)
