Overview:
Are you ready to lead and make a difference in the property claims process? We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Manager to oversee and support our team of adjusters while driving operational excellence. In this role, you will manage a team of property adjusters, ensuring high-quality estimates and adherence to company standards. Your expertise in property damage evaluation, claims handling, and team leadership will help shape and refine our solutions.
The ideal candidate has prior leadership experience in property claims adjusting, excels at team supervision, and has a strong aptitude for assessing and guiding damage evaluations. Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of property adjusters, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Quality Control: Oversee damage assessments and estimate validations, ensuring compliance with policy terms and industry guidelines.
- Training & Development: Provide training and ongoing professional development for adjusters to enhance their expertise in property claims assessment.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in the claims assessment process and implement solutions for efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure claims processes comply with corporate policies, client guidelines, and regulatory standards while providing leadership on ethics and best practices.
- Review & Approve Reports: Validate and approve damage assessment reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy before submission.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including product and engineering, to improve automation tools and workflows.
- Workforce Management: Monitor workload distribution and ensure adequate team coverage, especially during peak claim periods and catastrophe events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in property claims adjusting, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience supervising and mentoring claims adjusters or estimators. Experience managing a virtual team is a plus.
- Estimating Expertise: Strong background in commercial and residential property claims evaluation, including experience with Xactimate (certifications preferred).
- Process Improvement: Ability to optimize workflows and implement best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards, corporate policies, and client guidelines for property claims.
- CAT Event Experience: Exposure to catastrophic (CAT) events, with the ability to lead a team in handling high-volume claims.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work assigned shifts and provide leadership coverage as needed:
- Morning Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (EST)
- Midday Shift: 10:00 AM - 6 PM (EST)
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (EST)
- Extended Hours: Availability to work during catastrophes when necessary.
