We are seeking a strategic and proactive Senior Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Compensation Analyst is responsible for designing, analyzing, and administering Engine’s compensation programs to ensure our pay structure is competitive and aligns with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will conduct salary benchmarking, create flexible pay ranges, and provide recommendations to maintain equitable and competitive pay practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Program Management: Manage the design of compensation programs, including salary ranges, variable comp plans, and equity programs, ensuring alignment with market competitiveness, internal equity, and company culture.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, salary surveys, and benchmarking analyses to evaluate Engine’s compensation structure. Provide recommendations based on data to stay competitive in the marketplace.
- Job Evaluation: Assess and classify jobs within the organization using internal and external benchmarks. Recommend salary ranges for new and existing positions.
- Pay Equity & Compliance: Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as FLSA, pay equity laws, and any industry-specific requirements.
- Compensation Strategy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of Engine’s Compensation Philosophy in partnership with the People leadership team, including base salary, incentive plans, and equity programs.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with People Operations, People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and department leadership to ensure compensation practices are effectively communicated and understood throughout the organization.
What You’ll Bring to Engine:
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation analysis, including exposure to designing and administering sales compensation and commission plans.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Radford and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of compensation principles, pay equity regulations, job evaluation methods, and experience conducting compensation market analyses.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to interpret large sets of data, make informed recommendations, and deliver insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Cash compensation: The base salary for this role is starting at an $125,000-150,000 base. Final compensation packages are determined by various factors, including prior experience and expertise.
