We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team as Senior Manager, Agency Communications. 

The Senior Manager, Agency Communications, role sits on our North America Marketing team, with a wider group of team members at Hotwire focused on marketing and communications. 

The Senior Manager, Agency Communication will focus on Increasing Hotwire’s awareness, influence and reputation as the preeminent global tech communications and marketing consultancy for key stakeholders including employees, clients, prospects and the communications, marketing and tech industries-at-large.

As Senior Manager, Agency Communications you'll work closely with the consultancy’s executive leaders including global and local CEOs and MDs, global and local P&C teams, and global and local marketing leads to generate programs for executive visibility and agency communications including internal and external communications. 

Daily you will…

  • Build positive reputation for Hotwire through securing regular speaking, media, awards and ranking opportunities for the company and its executives.
  • Build internal reputation and reason to believe in Hotwire though thoughtful and strategic employee communications that improves eNPS and secures Best Place to Work recognition.
  • Build relationships for Hotwire within tech, marketing and communications industries through events, juries, media and influencer opportunities.
  • Show contribution to overall marketing goals of delivering qualified leads to Hotwire through increased awareness and reputation of Hotwire within its industry.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver the best team experience (Internal Communications)

  • Effectively articulate ideas to employees through development of internal communications calendar and channel ecosystem to include but not limited to; email, newsletters, videos, webinars, presentations
  • Identify and implement communications opportunities to regularly connect leadership with employees, developing two-way communication opportunities, key messages and communications assets
  • Lead planning and project management for major corporate moments including Hotwire’s Annual Kick-Off Week, quarterly Hotwire Live webinars and key news moments including but not limited to; senior hires and departures and new client wins/losses
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with P&C team to effectively deliver an improved employee experience and drive higher levels of engagement
  • Update tracking and measurement including benchmarking, KPIs and identify opportunities to continue to optimize current channels to deliver peak performance and facilitate effective communication across our teams
  • Work with marketing and creative teams for amplification via owned media

Demonstrate our high performance (Executive Comms & Thought Leadership)

  • Create editorial calendar with steady stream of proactive news stories globally and in the US. Draft compelling press releases and supporting assets. Pitch news stories that result in features, mentions and profiles.
  • Achieve global and US media relations success by building and maintaining relationships with market influencers and key members of industry media.
  • Partner with local markets outside of the US to understand their unique communication needs and provide guidance, coaching and assets to deliver external comms opportunities that align to the global plan.
  • Put Hotwire at the forefront of media and industry conversations to effectively insert Hotwire into relevant news cycles and features.
  • Execute executive visibility and thought leadership programs for 5-6 senior Hotwire leaders globally, with a focus on securing regular external speaking and media opportunities that showcase our leaders’ expertise.
  • Prep executives by developing speech outlines, storyboards and presentations, briefing documents and interview/speaking prep for speaking engagements and media opportunities.
  • Manage presence at major events like CES, Cannes, SXSW, DMEXCO, AI Deciphered, Davos including securing speaking opportunities, sponsorships, developing panels and associated content. Organize on-site team and surround sound support.
  • Update tracking and measurement including benchmarking, setting KPIs and identify opportunities to continue to optimize executive communications and media/influence relations to increase external opportunities.
  • Work with marketing and creative teams for amplification via owned media.

Showcase our preeminent work (Awards & Rankings)

  • Plan the global awards and rankings strategy, annual roadmap and advise on which awards, rankings and categories to enter.
  • Manage global and US awards participation including identifying, collating and tracking case studies for award submissions. Partner with marketing and growth team to ensure consistency and high quality of case studies beyond awards including but not limited to; case content for media profiling and website content.
  • Submit to awards and rankings throughout the year, partnering with Executive, Finance, P&C, Specialist (i.e. Analytics & AI), Client and Creative teams for development of awards entries.
  • Partner with local markets outside of the US to understand their awards and ranking opportunities and provide guidance, coaching and assets to deliver on their opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with awards and rankings organizers and key contacts, ensure Hotwire executives are front of mind for jury participation,
  • Manage awards show and ceremony logistics including bookings, client and team invitations, trophies and other related details as needed.
  • Set up tracking and measurement including benchmarking, setting KPIs and identify opportunities to deliver to agreed KPIs of annual global and US award wins.
  • Share awards and rankings news, providing summaries and promoting shortlists and wins internally. Work with marketing and creative teams for amplification via owned media.

You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in agency and/or internal communication at marketing and/or communications agency
  • Strong understanding of the tech industry and the role of marketing and communications within it
  • Proven track record of delivering successful external communications programs
  • Excellent written skills across mediums to include but not limited to newsletters, press releases, speeches and other relevant mediums
  • Experience at managing multiple stakeholders of all levels
  • Strong collaborative skills with deep organizational aptitude and delivery to deadlines

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $120,000

The range listed is just one component of Hotwire’s total compensation package for employees, which includes bonus opportunities and a variety of benefits mentioned above. Hotwire takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected work to be performed, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. A potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
