We are looking for an exceptional leader with FinTech and capital/private markets to join our North America team as a Senior Vice President, FinTech. 

The Senior Vice President role sits on our North America Senior Leadership team. In this role, you’re responsible for leading client teams, developing talent, impacting culture, implementing processes, and participating in high-level strategic discussions.   

This role owns the overall success and growth of our FinTech offering in North America. You will own all FinTech new business opportunities, manage a portfolio of FinTech clients growing them and expanding Hotwire services, build out new products and service offerings, manage resourcing across our FinTech accounts & new business opportunities, and participate in recruiting talent that aligns with the future goals of the business. You will also partner with Hotwire’s global FinTech lead on cross-market opportunities.

Accountabilities

Business leadership

  • Hunt for and lead the development of new business opportunities in FinTech, from prospecting and pitching to onboarding new clients and driving revenue growth
  • Responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of business totaling $2.5-3.5M
  • Elevate the visibility of Hotwire as a trusted advisor in the FinTech space through thought leadership activities, speaking engagements and participation in industry events and conferences

Client Leadership

  • Own client relationships and lead strategic communications across FinTech, capital markets, and private equity sectors, ensuring alignment with client business goals and market dynamics
  • Anticipate what’s next, helping clients and our team stay ahead of potential issues and leverage opportunities
  • Develop strong client relationships beyond the day-to-day work, supporting them to succeed in their own career goals
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of comms campaigns, providing regular performance reports and insights to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver integrated campaigns that resonate with target audiences and drive measurable outcomes

People Leadership

  • Demonstrate account and organizational leadership that sets the standard for your teams
  • Partner with other leaders and team members’ projects and initiatives which move the business forward
  • Manage team members, creating paths for success and career development
  • Contribute to the success of the business by mentoring and developing skills across the agency – specifically around FinTech and sectoral knowledge
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients around the world
  • Foster a culture of learning and professional growth within the organization

You’ll Bring:

  • Direct experience in capital markets and private markets communications, including investor relations, private equity, or institutional finance
  • 12+ years of experience in PR & comms, with a proven track record of success in the FinTech industry
  • Demonstrable agency experience is essential; some experience in-house is desirable
  • Proven experience in managing a portfolio of business globally totaling over $3M annually
  • Proven experience growing client accounts, uncovering opportunities and securing increased budget YOY
  • Strong understanding of the FinTech industry, its regulatory environment, and emerging trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build & maintain client relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing comms teams
  • A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing comms strategies in the FinTech space
  • An existing network in the tech industry – from clients and connections to talent and media
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a desire for continuous learning
  • Strong storytelling skills and confidence in presenting ideas and providing counsel to internal and external audience
  • Experience managing teams and developing career paths for your direct reports
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to driving positive change in the FinTech industry

Compensation Range: $145,000 - $225,000

The range listed is just one component of Hotwire’s total compensation package for employees, which includes bonus opportunities, and a variety of benefits mentioned above. Hotwire takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected work to be performed, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. A potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
