Job Description
At Houston Gymnastics Academy, we are passionate about helping athletes grow in confidence, discipline, and skill through the sport of gymnastics. As a Men’s Gymnastics Compulsory Teams Coach (Levels 3-6), you’ll play an important role in developing competitive athletes in a positive, structured, and encouraging environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Coaching men’s compulsory team athletes during practices, conditioning, and skill development
• Teaching proper technique, strength, flexibility, and progressions on all men’s gymnastics events
• Creating a safe, positive, and motivating environment for athletes of varying skill levels
• Assisting athletes in preparing for competitions throughout the season
• Providing constructive feedback and encouragement to support athlete growth and confidence
• Communicating professionally with parents, athletes, and fellow staff members
• Monitoring athlete safety and enforcing gym policies and procedures at all times
• Assisting with equipment setup, organization, and overall gym cleanliness
• Supporting team events, meets, and program activities as needed

Your Schedule:
• Monday - Friday from 4:30pm-8:30pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm
• Availability for weekend competitions and special events as needed

What It Takes:
• Minimum of 1-year Men's Competitive Gymnastics coaching experience
• A positive attitude and passion for coaching and mentoring athletes
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of men’s gymnastics compulsory routines, skill progressions, and safety techniques strongly preferred
• Ability to motivate athletes while maintaining structure and discipline
• Reliable, professional, and safety-minded
• Comfortable being active and on your feet throughout practices

Fine Print
A few requirements to note:
• Ability to see and hear clearly from across the gym floor
• Ability to provide sustained attention and supervision during practices and activities
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, spot athletes, and move throughout the gym during shifts
• Ability to lift, push, or move equipment up to 50 pounds
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to maintain a consistent coaching schedule and attend assigned competitions/events
