About the Role

Howl is looking to bring on a strategic VP, Revenue to lead growth and client strategy for our brand and creator partners, as well as our retail network clients. This role will oversee our sales, client success and revOps teams. 

Reports directly into the CEO. 

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Leadership & GTM Strategy

  • Own end-to-end revenue strategy, encompassing sales, customer success and revOps
  • Develop and execute innovative GTM strategies to penetrate new markets, launch new categories, and size opportunities effectively.
  • Co-Author sales assets, communications, and materials that showcase traction and inspire stakeholder confidence.
  • Drive planning and forecasting, including book sizing, quotas, organizational planning, and structuring.
  • Build strategies for sales pipeline growth, while coaching sales teams, and enabling new business acquisition.
  • Navigate tricky client situations and foster durable, partner-driven relationships 
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer success, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Balance CS and sales priorities to align with organizational goals and growth plans.

Team Building & Culture

  • Lead, inspire, and energize the revenue team, cultivating a positive, high-energy culture.
  • Hire, retain, and grow top-tier talent, focusing on team morale and professional development.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader who can execute in a startup environment with a lean team.

Revenue Operations (RevOps)

  • Oversee revenue operations, including reporting, best practices, and automation for scalable growth.
  • Ensure RevOps is integrated within the revenue function to drive autonomy and strategic insights.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, and at least 5 in leadership in revenue-generating functions such as sales, marketing, or customer success.
  • Proven ability to create and execute GTM strategies in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Possess a deep understanding of how to sell to and partner with marketing executives.
  • Track record of driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and implementing scalable processes.
  • Experience in sales planning, forecasting, and quota management.
  • Experience working with digital marketing spend and ROI, especially in industries like eCommerce.
  • Skilled in managing RevOps functions, with a clear POV on reporting, metrics, and best practices.
  • Ability to inspire and uplift teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Operate as a true startup leader, demonstrating problem-solving abilities, risk assessment, and decision-making under uncertainty.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in eCommerce, SaaS, or marketing technology sectors.
  • Background in one or more revenue disciplines (sales, marketing, customer success) with a desire to own the full revenue function.
  • Strong coaching skills and the ability to co-create compelling sales materials and presentations.
  • Experimental mindset, with a willingness to launch and iterate on new initiatives.
  • Must be US based

The base salary range for this role is $225,000 - $250,000. 

At Howl, we offer a competitive compensation package inclusive of base salary, incentive pay and stock options. Incentive awards are allocated based on individual performance. Certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
