About The Role
As a Lead Talent Engagement Partner, you will be at the forefront of shaping HP IQ’s technical hiring strategy across AI, software, and hardware teams. This role is equal parts strategic leadership, full-cycle execution, and innovation-through-enablement. You’ll go beyond filling roles by defining what world-class technical hiring looks like for a company building at the frontier of AI and edge computing.
You’ll work side-by-side with executives and senior engineering leaders to influence organizational design, prototype new approaches to talent engagement, and set a bar for rigor and creativity in recruiting. As a hands-on leader, you’ll mentor teammates, take on complex searches, and design scalable systems for hiring in deeply ambiguous, emerging technical domains.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a startup-paced environment. You’ll play a critical role in defining how HP IQ scales its talent strategy.
What You Might Do
- Lead full-cycle recruiting across mission-critical teams including AI/ML, software platforms, cloud infrastructure, and edge systems.
- Operate as a thought partner to execs and senior hiring managers by shaping role definitions, success profiles, and long-term hiring plans.
- Lead hiring for ambiguous, high-priority areas like agent-based orchestration, recommendation systems, and edge-native AI applications.
- Serve as a mentor and leader within the recruiting team by providing coaching and modeling a rigorous approach to talent engagement
- Design and lead experiments with AI-enabled recruiting tools accelerating hiring velocity, diversity, and candidate quality.
- Partner with People and Business teams on workforce planning, compensation calibration, and organizational modeling.
- Develop executive-level dashboards, insights, and narratives to influence strategic hiring decisions.
- Champion candidate experience at every touchpoint.
Essential Qualifications
- 8+ years of technical recruiting experience, with at least 3 years in-house at high-growth or technically complex companies.
- Experience with full-life cycle recruiting for top-tier talent in software engineering, with a preference for experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and software experiences and services.
- Experience driving data-supported hiring strategy in partnership with senior engineering leadership.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)
The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
