About the Software Engineer, Full Stack at Headspace:
Headspace is seeking a talented Software Engineer, Full Stack to join its B2B Team. The B2B team builds and maintains our eligibility and enrollment systems for enterprise and SME customers, as well as integrations with strategic partners. This role is on the Employer Platform team, focused on designing and building the next-generation enterprise platform. You’ll be central to our growth as we scale partnerships and internal capabilities. We value knowledge sharing and continuous learning, with frequent mini-tech talks and collaborative development practices.
Being on the engineering team, you’ll be working on a product that impacts more than 65M users. You will help us bring new features to life to meet our mission, while also helping push our platform to newer technologies as we embrace the cutting edge. US-remote job location: we are currently recruiting remotely in the United States for this role. Candidates must permanently reside in the US full-time.
What you will do:
- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems
- Write well-designed, testable, performant, and efficient code
- Contribute across the development lifecycle, from collaborating with product stakeholders to writing tech specs and deploying features
- Build web apps and APIs, primarily using TypeScript/Node.js on AWS
- Evaluate system designs for operational feasibility and long-term scalability
- Partner closely with product and engineering teams to release features at scale
What you will bring:
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of experience building APIs, microservices, and web applications
- Proficient in API development with Python/Django and/or TypeScript/Node.js
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks like React or Next.js, and state management libraries like Redux
- Strong collaboration skills in remote environments; comfortable partnering across product, design, and engineering
- Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, and CI/CD systems
- Excellent communication and technical decision-making skills
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with a BS/MS in Computer Science
- Experience building healthcare or B2B platforms
- Strong understanding of relational databases, OOP, and scalable web architecture
Pay & Benefits:
The anticipated new hire base salary range for this full-time position is $100,800-$161,000 + equity + benefits.
Our salary ranges are based on the job, level, and location, and reflect the lowest to highest geographic markets where we are hiring for this role within the United States. Within this range, individual compensation is determined by a candidate’s location as well as a range of factors including but not limited to: unique relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
