This is a remote role.
As a Consulting Practice Operations Manager within a global expansion services firm, you will be instrumental in enabling the success of our international consulting teams. This role blends operational rigor with strategic insight, supporting the delivery of high-impact services to customers expanding across borders.
You will be responsible for tracking billable hours, forecasting financial metrics, managing time-tracking systems, and producing actionable reports that inform on key metrics such as capacity planning, financial performance, and consultant utilization.
This role supports global consulting leadership, finance, and delivery teams. You’ll help ensure operational excellence, data integrity, and proactive insights that drive scalability and profitability across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Time Tracking & Administration
- Own the administration of the time-tracking platform across global consulting teams.
- Monitor and ensure timely, accurate submission of billable hours.
- Create and manage automated alerts for missing, late, or inconsistent time entries.
- Support onboarding and training of new consultants on time-tracking protocols.
- Support the reconciliation of retainers for customers.
- Revenue Forecasting & Financial Insights
- Collaborate with consulting leads and finance to forecast revenue based on billable capacity, project pipeline, and historical trends.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly revenue planning cycles, providing data-driven inputs.
- Identify risks and opportunities in forecast accuracy and utilization trends.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on consultant utilization, capacity, and financial performance.
- Deliver regular insights to leadership on team productivity, margin trends, and operational efficiency
- Support ad-hoc reporting needs for strategic initiatives and executive reviews.
- Operational Support
- Assist in global resource planning and allocation based on availability, skillsets, and project demand.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and customer-specific billing requirements.
- Partner with Finance, HR, and Delivery teams to maintain alignment and data consistency across systems.
Skills:
- Familiarity with global consulting KPIs such as billable utilization, margin and capacity planning.
- Experience in a global expansion, international HR, or cross-border services environment.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights for operational and strategic decision-making.
- Dependable, consistent performer with a positive attitude and an ability to listen and work collaboratively across an organization.
- Self-motivated, detail orientated and driven with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior personnel.
- Ability to adapt happily in an evolving, fast-paced environment
- Works well in a team environment, enthusiastically being a proactive contributor to the overall success of the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a professional services, consulting operations, or financial analyst role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, etc).
- Experience with time-tracking and project management platforms (e.g., Accorto or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across global teams and time zones.
