Finance and Operations Associate (Part-Time, Remote)

We are a fast-growing Management Services Organization (MSO) focused on acquiring and optimizing pediatric primary care practices. Our mission is to support high-quality, value-based care by streamlining operations, improving financial performance, and increasing access to exceptional pediatric care for all children, including underserved kids insured by Medicaid.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Finance and Operations Management Associate to support the financial and operational functions of our pediatric practice acquisitions. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn, who is passionate about making a positive difference in communities through enhanced access to high-quality pediatric care. The associate will work closely with leadership, supporting financial analysis, enhancing operational efficiencies, and managing integration efforts for newly acquired practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Assist in financial modeling, performance tracking, and budgeting.
- Revenue Cycle Support: Monitor billing, accounts receivable, and collections processes for acquired practices, with a focus on Medicaid reimbursement.
- Value-Based Care Initiatives: Support the transition to value-based care models that prioritize quality outcomes, preventive care, and improved patient experience.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement workflow improvements for practice operations.
- Integration Support: Assist in onboarding newly acquired practices, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Help manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with finance, operations, and clinical teams to optimize processes.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and industry standards.
- Support Fundraising Efforts: Develop analyses of organizational performance to support future fundraising efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and stay organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Passion for value-based care and increasing access to high-quality pediatricians for all children.
- Experience in healthcare operations or finance is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools preferred.
