Who we are looking for:
VML is seeking a Creative Director – Digital Experience/Product
This role provides outstanding creative solutions that represent our Agency’s brands effectively in the marketplace. Contributes to the maintenance and growth of a strong, mutually profitable client/agency relationship.

What you’ll do:
- Be an excellent graphic designer – solid fundamentals of typography, photography, color, composition.
- Have extensive experience executing against digital product design best practices – agile methodology, technical development, emerging web technologies, accessibility, user pathing, etc.
- Be comfortable with public speaking, presenting work, debating merits and drawbacks of various solutions
- Design beautiful experiences and then create the functional requirements for development
- Be conceptual when working with an integrated team, understanding how advertising, OLA, social and other channels can work with the platform experience
- Ensure the quality of work produced is in line with agency and client expectations.
- Work with all departments in a collaborative, mutually respectful manner.
- Work on new business development. Be responsible for ideas and creative work, and competently present pitches.
- Will guide the work but will also be integral in designing the experiences as well.
- Maintain and support all company standards.
- Be nimble and flexible, performing other related duties and projects as assigned.
Who you are:
- An expert knowledge of industry standard software/tools (Figma, Sketch, design systems, libraries) is it pertains to website platform
- An understanding of video and photo editing programs (Adobe)
- Some familiarity with common coding languages
- A familiarity with at least one prototyping tool to use (principle, framer, figma, protopie)
- A thorough understanding of documentation, how to do it and why
- A thorough knowledge of UX writing, content strategy
- An outstanding portfolio that showcases highly conceptual abilities, along with an awareness of high-end digital production experience necessary for luxury brands.
- The desire and ability to work collaboratively with a small team.
What you’ll need:
- Experience with automobile or luxury/premium brands is preferred, but not necessary.
- A discerning eye, to be able to bring luxury brands to life visually.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- The physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities.
- Prepared to work in a hybrid work environment – both onsite in the NY agency 3 days a week & offsite
- Experience with mobile app design is a plus but not necessary

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
