About Content Strategy

At Huge, we see content as the cornerstone of building meaningful connections between brands and users. Our approach focuses on creating intelligent, user-centered content ecosystems that drive trust, credibility, and long-term value. Whether designing content that seamlessly integrates into the core digital experience or developing broader content marketing initiatives that resonate across diverse platforms, we prioritize relevance, impact, and engagement. Huge recognizes that in today’s landscape, content is more persuasive than advertising alone, and enables brands to provide ongoing—and better targeted—guidance to users over time.

Job description.

Huge is looking for an Associate Director, AI Content Strategy to drive innovation and excellence. This role will lead the development and execution of AI-powered content strategies integral to designing seamless, scalable content ecosystems that deliver measurable results for our clients. As an AI content strategy expert, this role requires a strategic thinker who is an expert in Conversational AI and Generative AI, with a proven track record in AI-driven product experiences. As an Associate Director, you’ll lead projects that help clients future-proof their content experiences and maximize the value of their content—identifying opportunities, defining strategies, and creating actionable roadmaps to achieve their goals.

You’ll analyze content assets and organizational capabilities, define taxonomies and metadata frameworks, develop content management solutions, and architect information strategies. Your work will go beyond structuring content; you’ll ensure it aligns with user needs and business objectives, turning complex requirements into simple, intuitive solutions. This role is not a copywriting or copy writer manager position; instead, it is a role that digests insights and uses those findings to make work that feels intuitive and straightforward even when the mechanics behind it are complex.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Define conversational flows, tone of voice, and user experiences for chatbots, virtual assistants, and other AI-powered interfaces.
  • Collaborate with UX and development teams to optimize Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI conversational design.
  • Research and analyze content across multiple channels to identify patterns and issues.
  • Lead workshops and interviews on content requirements and needs with mid- and senior-level clients.
  • Collaboratively define strategic visions for businesses and brands, including the role of content in that vision.
  • Identify, prioritize, and sell large-scale content opportunities at the project and product levels.
  • Define a roadmap for how an organization can improve its content effectiveness and governance, including assessing organizational readiness.
  • Lead content efforts through information architecture design, content modeling, and taxonomy definition.
  • Identify migration strategies for content across products and partner with engineers and technologists to plan and implement content migration(s).
  • Collaborate with technologists, business analysis, and product managers on Huge and client teams to recommend appropriate content systems for projects. Make technical content recommendations to enable personalization and optimize internal search.
  • Consult internal teams and clients on content governance, including workflow definition, communications and socialization, decision frameworks, and platform training and coaching.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for our internal team and a trusted advisor for day-to-day and senior clients.
  • Work with clients and strategy colleagues to define publishing and governance models for the enterprise .
  • Oversee and coordinate content activities within a project team, working across various Huge disciplines and the overall project lifecycle.
  • Work with project and discipline leadership to plan, pitch, and manage multidisciplinary activities that advance Huge's capabilities.

What we’d like to see.

  • 8+ years leading content strategy, digital strategy, or a related field, with significant experience in an agency, consulting, or client services environment.
  • Proven track record of leading AI-driven content initiatives, including Conversational AI and Generative AI applications.
  • You understand the nuance between deterministic and generative AI.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex AI capabilities into actionable content strategies.
  • Expertise in technical aspects of content strategy, including tagging structures, information architecture, and taxonomy design.
  • Experience leading large-scale redesigns or e-commerce projects, with a focus on user-centric content strategies.
  • A data-driven mindset, combining qualitative and quantitative insights to prioritize and refine content strategies effectively.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills with a knack for storytelling and clear articulation of technical concepts.
  • The ability to work with cross-disciplinary partners across technology, data, product management, and design to define a vision and deliver on it.
  • Proficiency in providing strategic direction through to writing illustrative content that will be used for the design experience we are proposing
  • Strong capabilities in technical content strategy from tagging structures to architecture and taxonomy
  • Experience advocating for content strategy best practices, principles, and methodology
  • Expert understanding of content delivery and management systems.
  • Awareness of emerging content strategy trends, tools, and technology. We want someone who is committed to looking beyond the status quo and is excited by innovation.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
