Solutions Engineer

Location: This position is Hybrid.

Huge is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join the global Tech team. The ideal candidate possesses a wide range of technical knowledge across multiple systems and solution types with a deep understanding and capabilities across one or more systems. The Solution Engineer can learn and understand a new language quickly, jump into a new or existing project on a moment’s notice, recommend or understand the stack, and have an immediate impact on the project.

What will you do?

  • Assembling an architecture of multiple platform capabilities to enable a world-class user experience. 
  • Define and clearly present the architectural design of a system to the project team and stakeholders alike
  • Own and lead architectural conversations
  • Design a system that can meet agreed SLAs
  • Able to break down the solution to show how the system works and meets requirements
  • Identify architectural roadblocks and provide alternate approaches
  • Quickly identify critical capabilities or gaps and communicate them to the team
  • Create limited scope proof of concepts (POCs) to validate and pattern minimal amounts of scope
  • Lead DevOps processes and implement them within a project
  • Adapt and apply abstract solutions to individual situations
  • Learn new technologies quickly and is able to impart that information to the team, and apply it to a project
  • Communicate with other disciplines and teammates to resolve issues
  • Focus on individual systems and problems in any given situation
  • Mentor the development team and provide thought leadership
  • Deliver and ensures engineering best practices
  • Make sure code is tested properly by self and others
  • Lead work sessions to come up with creative solutions
  • Proactively refactor/iterate over the lifecycle of a project in order to achieve simplicity
  • Apply security as code across the code base, as well as DevOps tools and practices, and evaluate/recommend new code and DevOps Security tools.
  • Work with QA leads and help define the testing strategy

What do we expect from you?

We realize this is a long list and don’t expect candidates to check every box. 

  • Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architecture at scale, with particular expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP and Vercel) 
  • Demonstrated success building platforms to support web and mobile platforms simultaneously 
  • Track record of successfully orchestrating complex third-party API integrations while maintaining system coherence 
  • Experience implementing robust authentication systems(Auth0) and content access control for premium/paid content 
  • History of architecting and scaling e-commerce solutions with particular focus on security and payment flows 
  • Possesses a wide range of technical knowledge across multiple systems and solution types with a deep understanding and capabilities across one or more systems.
  • Experience with CMS, ecommerce, CDP, CRM, and mobile app development process
  • A track record of architecting large scale, global platforms
  • Experience in ensuring high availability through hardening, load testing, and monitoring
  • Familiarity with OWASP security best practices
  • Experience with RESTful architecture and GraphQL 
  • Experience in API Gateway Technologies
  • Familiarity with OpenAPI (Swagger) or other API definition languages
  • Experience with real time content delivery
  • Strong cloud architecture experience (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of microservice design pattern
  • A hands-on engineer, supporting development work while providing senior oversight to the engineering team
  • Understanding of video streaming technologies and content delivery networks, especially experience integrating with platforms like Vimeo OTT 
  • Background in payment processing and subscription management systems, with knowledge of integrations for PPV
  • Experience building real-time, interactive features similar to the application’s TikTok-style content scrolling and community engagement components
