Paid Research Participant – AI Training Study

• Location: Columbus, OH (Discovery District). On-site.
• Employment type: Temporary / One-time engagement (no follow-up)
• Compensation: $100 per completed session

Get paid $100 for a single two-hour, in-person session in Columbus, Ohio. HumanSignal is recruiting adults to take part in a relaxed audio and video research session that helps train fair and more representative AI. No experience, technical background, or special skills are required. You show up as yourself, and you are paid the same day.

Compensation and logistics

• Pay: $100 per completed session, paid same day via cash gift card. Every participant age 18 or older qualifies.
• Time: One in-person session of up to two hours. No follow-up required.
• Location: Discovery District, Columbus, OH. The exact address is confirmed when your session is scheduled.
• Dates: Sessions run July through August 2026. Your specific date is confirmed when you are scheduled.
• Transportation: Up to a $25 Uber voucher to cover rides to and from the studio.
• Referral bonus: Refer someone who completes their own session and earn $25. No limit on referrals.

What you will do

• Walk, gesture, talk, and move naturally through a relaxed studio environment.
• Be photographed and recorded by our friendly research team.
• Try different setups with varied lighting, backgrounds, and simple props.
• Relax and be yourself. There is no acting, memorization, or special skill involved.

Who we are looking for

• Age 18 or older.
• Located in or near Columbus, Ohio.
• Available for a single in-person session of up to two hours.
• No prior experience, technical knowledge, photography, or acting skills needed.

We welcome participants of all ages (18+), backgrounds, and life experiences. A wide range of participants makes the resulting AI more representative of the real world.

How it works

2. We reach out to confirm your session time in July or August and send the location details.
3. Attend your session and receive your $100 payment the same day.

How your data is handled

Images and recordings from your session are used only for AI research and training. They are not shared publicly and are not used for advertising or any other commercial purpose. Consent, transparency, and respect guide how we collect and store this material.
