ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and implementation of advanced mechanical systems within our data centers, with a primary focus on HVAC and direct liquid cooling (DLC) systems. This role requires extensive experience in thermal and fluid dynamics, as well as a product-focused mindset to ensure all mechanical systems are designed with manufacturability and operational efficiency in mind. The ideal candidate has strong experience in product design and manufacturing for skidded solutions, server racks, conveyance structures, etc.
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
- Develop and manage mechanical engineering reference design consisting of efficient and reliable HVAC and DLC systems for data centers.

Perform thermal analysis, flow simulations, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to optimize designs.

Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.

Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit) to create 3D models, technical drawings, and system layouts.

Oversee the development of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and assembly instructions for manufacturing

Ensure mechanical systems meet building codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cooling performance and energy consumption.

ABOUT YOU
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, focusing on HVAC, fluid dynamics, and thermal management. Proficiency in at least one CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and CFD principles.
- Demonstrated experience designing systems for manufacturing and implementation.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Mechanical Engineer (ME).
- Experience with direct liquid cooling (DLC) systems.
- Prior experience in data center or high-performance computing design.
