ABOUT THE ROLE
The BIM (Building Information Modeling) Manager with Hut 8 will oversee the company’s BIM assets and assist in developing and maintaining MEP models and various infrastructure content for data center applications. You will work closely with engineering and construction teams to design and support multi-disciplinary projects across the full project lifecycle.
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
- Creation of BIM Models: Assist with creation of BIM models of MEP systems (HVAC ducts, piping, plumbing, switchgears, cable trays, power distribution, etc.), datacenter systems and components, and technical libraries to support design, analysis, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and operations on various projects.
- BIM & CAD Management: Maintain BIM/CAD information formats, design standards, drawing setups, technical libraries, templates, families, details, and BIM best practices.
- Trade Coordination: Work closely with contractors, architects, and engineering teams to ensure coordination (clash detection) of architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Production Drawings: Support creation of construction and manufacturing/fabrication drawings with the design and engineering teams.
- Software Experience: Extensive (5 – 10 years) experience in Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360, AutoCAD, REVIT, and or Navisworks is required.
ABOUT YOU
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology or a related field.
- Extensive (5 – 10 years) experience in Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360, AutoCAD, REVIT, and or Navisworks is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM Management within the architectural, engineering and construction industry.
- Ability to collaborate with project team members to support the design, fabrication, and installation activities on various projects.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and highly nimble team member that can adapt and thrive under fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize designs based on real-world conditions.
