ABOUT THE ROLE

The Program Director will be accountable for the successful delivery of multiple data center commissioning programs, ensuring technical quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction across high-profile hyperscale projects. The role involves strategic planning, resource management, and leadership of multidisciplinary commissioning teams. This is a senior leadership role for a commissioning professional ready to manage multiple projects simultaneously, oversee teams of Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers, and maintain executive-level relationships with hyperscale data center clients.

Some of the responsibilities you can expect include the following: 

Program Leadership and Delivery

• Serve as the primary program-level lead for hyperscale and enterprise data center clients
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects, providing leadership to Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers
• Ensure consistent application of commissioning standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices across all projects

Technical Oversight

• Guide commissioning strategy across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including start-up, testing, and acceptance
• Define and enforce commissioning standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices across all projects
• Provide strategic oversight of commissioning for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and life-safety systems
• Review and approve commissioning plans, test scripts, procedures, design drawings, and specifications
• Lead resolution of complex technical issues, commissioning deficiencies, and risk items

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

• Act as the senior point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners related to commissioning delivery
• Develop and maintain strong executive relationships with clients, acting as the senior point of contact for program delivery
• Partner closely with Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations, and executive leadership
• Provide clear reporting, dashboards, and executive-level updates on commissioning status, risks, and milestones

Process Improvement

• Mentor and develop team members to enhance performance, career growth, and technical expertise
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and program delivery quality
• Oversee documentation, reporting, and compliance across all projects within the program

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in MEP commissioning, QA/QC, or construction in mission-critical or data center environments
• Proven experience leading multiple commissioning projects or programs
• Strong understanding of hyperscale and large-scale data center operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams of Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills
• Commissioning certification (CxA or equivalent) preferred
• Experience working for a commissioning consultancy or as an owner’s representative preferred

ABOUT THE WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is in office at our corporate headquarters in the Brickell area of Miami, Florida or in Dallas, TX. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Around 30-50% national travel, depending on client and project needs.
