Parts Warehouse Clerk
Job overview
The Parts Warehouse Clerk I performs customer service and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the dealership.
Responsibilities
- Stocks ordered parts in assigned locations in a timely manner.
- Assists the Parts Manager with merchandising displays by delivering showroom inventory.
- Assists in maintaining a proper and current inventory count using barcode scan gun, while monitoring shortages and expediting processing through reporting to Parts Manager.
- Verifies receiving and receipting-in of parts shipments and may contact customers once parts are receipted.
- Conducts quality inspections when receiving shipments by checking for damages and noting any issues or discrepancies on the bill.
- Assists in keeping Parts Department clean and orderly.
- May supply Service Technicians with parts as required.
- Provides assistance at the counter when needed.
- Loads and unloads trucks using a forklift.
- Inspects forklifts and notifies management of any safety or mechanical concerns.
- Assists with shipping and receiving of store transfers, as well as monthly surplus returns to John Deere.
- Collects, sorts and bands pallets as directed by Parts Manager for monthly returns.
- Assembles some products before placing them on the showroom flood. These products may include but are not limited to: Pressure washers, pedal tractors and Stihl products.
- Support management in the pursuit of corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Understanding of mechanical and technical terms.
- Knowledge of parts operating systems preferred.
- Interpersonal skills are needed when dealing with customers and co-workers.
- Should be service oriented and always be willing to assist the customer. Basic sales training may be provided in order to support customer calls.

- Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Working Conditions
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force of occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (includes inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
