Position Description

Job Title: National Sales Leader

Reports To: President – HVAC RNTL

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Irving, TX or Remote

Summary:

HVAC RNTL is seeking a results-driven National Sales Leader to join our U.S. executive leadership team.  This strategic role is responsible for defining and executing the national sales vision, driving revenue growth, and building a high-performance sales culture.  The ideal candidate will bring extensive sales leadership experience, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and a passion for developing people and delivering customer-centric solutions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement multi-year strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives, market segmentation, and product portfolio evolution. 
  • Communicate a clear and compelling sales strategy across the organization, with regular updates on progress and performance.
  • Lead territory planning efforts to identify key targets, penetration strategies, and sales activities required to meet revenue goals.
  • Oversee pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning and margin optimization based on market conditions. 

Team Development & Performance Management

  • Recruit, train, and inspire a dynamic, high-performing sales team.
  • Build a culture of accountability by setting clear performance metrics, monitoring activity and pipeline health, and providing timely feedback and coaching.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support sales coaching, reinforce strategic priorities, and ensure alignment with desired outcomes.
  • Implement and continuously improve sales processes and systems to enhance efficiency, forecast accuracy, and customer experience.

Customer and Partner & Partner Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and long-term value. 
  • Champion value-based selling strategies tailored to vertical markets, delivering differentiated solutions that meet customer needs. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams – including operations, finance, and marketing – to align sales strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives that foster internal collaboration, streamline administrative processes, and ensure consistent business results.

Business Planning & Investment Strategy

  • Develop data-driven business cases to support fleet investments, articulating financial justifications and strategic rationale.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to proactively adapt sales strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Culture & Leadership

  • Foster a culture of engagement, ownership, respect, and accountability rooted in HVAC RNTL’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Serve as a role model for professional communication, resilience, and collaborative leadership across the organization.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales strategy, territory design, and driving sales team through business analytics
  • Experience in the HVAC, rental, or related industry is preferred
  • Proven success in leading sales organizations within high-performance cultures.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CRM platforms, and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
