Team: Mission Critical Solutions

Reports to: Leader, Mission Critical Solutions

Coverage: Customer sites and project locations across North America

The Opportunity

Are you a Data Center commissioning professional who knows load banks and enjoys turning technical requirements into practical solutions? HVAC RNTL is seeking a Technical Sales Support (TSS) professional to bring hands-on technical depth to our Mission Critical pursuits and project delivery. You will help customers define test requirements, develop fit-for-purpose load-bank and temporary-system solutions, and support clear technical documentation and field execution.

This role directly supports the Mission Critical Solutions organization, partnering with Business Development Managers, engineering, service and operations from technical discovery through commissioning. You will be a technical resource to customers and internal teams, with particular strength in commissioning-phase applications and load-bank use.

This role is responsible for working safely and following applicable company policies, procedures and regulations.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Serve as a technical partner to Business Development Managers during customer discovery, solution development, estimating, proposals, submittals and project handoff.
  • Apply practical Data Center commissioning knowledge to help customers and project teams define test objectives, sequence, equipment needs, interfaces, acceptance criteria and documentation.
  • Support the selection and planning of air and liquid load banks for commissioning, including capacity, configuration, connections, controls and deployment needs.
  • Help develop method statements, test plans, equipment schedules, one-line and connection requirements, commissioning checklists, risk reviews and customer-facing technical responses.
  • Coordinate with service and operations to confirm equipment readiness, site access, mobilization, setup, safe operating practices, test support, data capture and demobilization.
  • Support integrated solutions that may include generators, UPS and electrical systems, temporary chillers, air handlers, pumps, filtration, hydronic systems and liquid-cooling loop support.
  • Participate in site walks, technical meetings, pre-mobilization reviews and commissioning activities; travel to project sites as needed to support safe, reliable execution.
  • Capture field feedback, test results, documentation gaps and lessons learned; recommend practical improvements to procedures, packages and technical capability.

Your Background

  • Minimum five years of experience in the Data Center sector in a technical, commissioning, applications-engineering, field-service or closely related role.
  • Technical proficiency in Data Center commissioning, with specific experience using load banks during commissioning or integrated systems testing.
  • Working understanding of electrical and thermal test applications, equipment interfaces, site coordination, commissioning documentation and safe work practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and communicate practical solutions clearly to customers, contractors, commissioning teams and internal partners.
  • Strong planning, troubleshooting, documentation and cross-functional coordination skills; comfortable working in active construction and mission-critical environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer sites and project locations across North America.

Preferred: Experience with both air-cooled and liquid-cooled load-bank applications; exposure to liquid-cooling systems, CDUs, pumps, filtration, flushing or hydronic testing; and experience producing or reviewing method statements, commissioning scripts, test reports and closeout documentation.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
