Licensed Veterinary Technician - Physical Therapy
Who We Are:
The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery is a new, state-of-the-art surgical center opening in late 2025. Located in the West end of Greenwich, Connecticut, our facility will span over 10,000 square feet and will be staffed and resourced to provide specialized care currently not accessible in the Greenwich area.
We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support the development and daily operations of a new physical therapy program. This role is ideal for a technician with a strong clinical foundation, a clear interest in post-operative recovery, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to a growing service.
You will work closely with our board-certified surgeon to deliver individualized physical therapy plans that enhance mobility, support healing, and improve patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with our board-certified surgeon to implement individualized physical therapy plans for post-operative and mobility-compromised patients
- Provide hands-on physical therapy treatments based on the needs of each patient
- Operate and maintain the underwater treadmill, including managing patient use and safety during sessions
- Monitor patient progress and make clinical adjustments as needed
- Educate clients on at-home exercises and recovery expectations
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Manage therapy equipment and supplies
- Provide training and guidance to team members involved in therapy care
What We Require:
- Active LVT license in good standing
- Certification in physical therapy (CCRP, CCRA, CCRVT) preferred
- Candidates actively pursuing certification will be considered
- Minimum of four years of clinical experience, ideally in a surgical setting
- Strong interest in pain management, recovery, and mobility care
- Able to work independently and take initiative in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and client education skills

- $35 – $39 per hour
- Full time hours with consistent schedule

What Makes This Role Unique:
This is a Launch position as we open our 2nd Hospital for Veterinary Surgery location! You will spend your first few weeks training, building rapport, and establishing a team workflow before opening a brand new facility. This is a once-in-a-career chance to be a key part of a founding team and you’ll gain unique experience both operationally and clinically as we expand our state-of-the-art care in a new state. Our target start date for this role is November 10, 2025.
