About the Strategy and Planning Director role:

  • Proven experience as a strategic planner in a B2B marketing agency specifically leading ABM, Demand Generation, Channel Partnership and Creative campaigns.
  • In depth ABM experience across 1:1, 1:Few and 1:Many programmes in different verticals and geographies.
  • Knowledge on and a passion for understanding how B2B businesses operate, the markets in which they exist, and how they generate revenue
  • Experience working with global clients, ideally in the technology space
  • Ability to simplify the complex, whether its data or messaging or communicating a comms plan
  • In depth experience with leading B2B data vendors and how to marry 3rd party data with 1st party in order to drive better insights as a foundation to all aspects of ABM programmes
  • Ability to identify actionable insights from research and interviews to inform how to build strategic foundations for complex programmes and campaigns
  • Confidence leading a room, whether workshopping or presenting up to C-Level with the ability to build trust, engage and collaborate with senior stakeholders
  • An established (or establishing) personality on the UK B2B marketing speaker circuit with a strong opinion on the direction of the industry, developments in future technology and the wider UK and global business outlook

Key responsibilities:

  • Setting the direction and vision for marketing strategy, team leadership, mentoring and growth
  • Developing a deep understanding of our client’s business, industries and customers
  • Using primary and secondary research sources to distil insights from what the data is telling us about the market and customers
  • Planning effective ABM marketing strategies including account prioritisation, audience targeting, value propositions with partners, messaging frameworks and comms plans for a long-term tiered approach to ABM
  • Planning effective demand generation, partner/alliance marketing programmes and creative led brand to demand campaigns
  • Developing inspiring, insight-led creative and/or content briefs and single minded propositions (SMP’s)
  • Working in partnership with our client services, creative, content and digital media teams to ensure that our campaigns and content align with the strategic objectives of our clients
  • Optimising campaigns, being relentlessly innovative finding new methods to turn heads and help us drive growth for our clients and the agency
