THIS IS AN ON-SITE FULL TIME POSITION FOR SUMMER 2025 AND FLEXIBLE PART TIME IN FALL 2025! 

OPPORTUNITY

The IT Intern will support various functions within the Information Technology department, including technical support, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. This role offers hands-on experience with enterprise systems, security tools, cloud platforms, and end-user support. The intern will assist in maintaining secure, efficient, and reliable IT operations across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cybersecurity Support

  • Monitor security dashboards, threat alerts, and logs using SIEM and endpoint protection tools.
  • Assist in investigating phishing attempts and other security incidents.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and track remediation efforts.
  • Support user access reviews and identity management processes.
  • Help develop cybersecurity documentation and training materials.

Infrastructure & Cloud Support

  • Assist with maintaining network hardware (switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
  • Support cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure (user provisioning, cost tracking).
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and infrastructure issues.
  • Document network diagrams, cloud configurations, and system inventories.
  • Participate in patch management, backups, and monitoring activities.

Technical Support

  • Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails.
  • Provide remote and on-site desktop support for Windows PCs and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC hardware and software.
  • Support Microsoft Teams telephony and associated hardware.
  • Maintain hardware/software inventory and assist with warranty coordination.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
  • Exposure to security tools, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS and Server.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Fluent in English.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Must pass pre-employment background, MVR, and drug screening.

JOB EXPECTATIONS
