AI/ML Engineer – Autonomous Agent Design for Robotics
United States
About the Role:
We are looking for a visionary and technically skilled AI Engineer to take the lead in designing and deploying autonomous AI agents for real-world robotics applications. You will play a pivotal role in developing intelligent agents that can perceive, reason, and act in dynamic physical environments, coordinating across sensors, actuators, and high-level decision-making systems.
This role combines cutting-edge LLM-powered reasoning, real-time perception integration, and robotics system orchestration to build agents that operate with minimal human intervention in complex settings.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement modular AI agent architectures for robotics systems, integrating vision, navigation, task planning, and memory.
- Lead development of agents that interact with robotics middleware and hardware systems in real-world environments.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) for reasoning, decision-making, and tool usage in robotic workflows.
- Build multi-agent systems with clear routing logic, role assignment, and stateful memory management.
- Oversee deployment pipelines including containerization, orchestration (Docker), and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with robotics engineers, ML researchers, and product teams to ensure tight coupling between hardware capabilities and agent intelligence.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI agents, robotics, and embodied learning systems.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in machine learning, robotics, or intelligent systems
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience working with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Agno).
- Deep understanding of agent-based reasoning, memory, task decomposition, and tool integration.
- Experience deploying real-time AI applications with containerized infrastructure (e.g., Flask, Docker).
- Strong communication skills and experience leading cross-functional technical projects.
