Compliance Director

We are hiring for one of our ecosystem projects. The company is a leading crypto exchange in APAC, dedicated to delivering safe, dependable, and user-friendly trading solutions for clients.

 

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Director to ensure our operations align with all applicable regulations and laws. This pivotal role involves shaping, executing, and refining our compliance policies to support our mission in the fast-evolving crypto industry.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform compliance risk assessments and advise leadership on effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends/ developments to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and develop a robust compliance program, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and report findings to relevant authorities as needed.
  • Ensure all products and services, both new and existing, meet regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with legal, operations, and technology teams to address and resolve compliance challenges.
  • Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and prepare reports for leadership as required.
  • Deliver regular compliance training to employees to foster awareness and adherence to requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulators to facilitate smooth audits and examinations.



You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of compliance experience in the Virtual Asset Trading Platform (VATP) or cryptocurrency industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency markets is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and a knack for solving complex problems, with the ability to assess risks and develop strategic solutions in a fast-evolving industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and driving cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
