Product Manger - Wallet

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager - Wallet to oversee the development and management of our custodial wallet system, ensuring top-tier security, compliance, and user experience in line with regulatory standards and industry best

In this role, you will:

• Manage the full lifecycle of the custodial wallet system, including requirements analysis, feature design, technical architecture planning, and iterative optimization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Ordinance and Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance.
• Design wallet operational workflows (e.g., deposits/withdrawals, multi-signature approvals, hot/cold wallet management, private key sharding) to optimize fund flow efficiency and security.
• Partner with technical teams (blockchain developers, security engineers), risk, compliance, and operations departments to drive wallet system development and deployment.
• Lead coordination with third-party custodians and audit firms to establish private key management protocols and disaster recovery mechanisms.
• Monitor real-time wallet system performance, implement transaction anomaly detection mechanisms, and develop contingency plans for scenarios such as private key leaks or cyberattacks.
• Enhance user-facing wallet features (e.g., balance inquiries, transaction history, fee structures), balancing user experience with compliance and risk management requirements.
• Ensure wallet system design aligns with Hong Kong’s Virtual Asset Trading Platform (VATP) licensing requirements, leading regulatory reporting, audits, and compliance enhancements (e.g., transaction limits, address whitelisting, KYT integration).
• Stay updated on Hong Kong and global regulatory developments (e.g., FATF Travel Rule) and drive rapid system adaptations to meet new requirements.

 

You might thrive in this role if you have:

• 3+ years of product management experience in fintech or blockchain, with a proven track record of designing and managing cryptocurrency custodial wallet systems at licensed brokers, exchanges, payment firms, or custodians, with expertise in hot/cold wallet architectures and HSM/MPC technologies.
• Experience in regulated markets such as Hong Kong or Singapore is preferred, with demonstrable product case studies.
• Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals (e.g., UTXO/account models, node synchronization, smart contracts) and wallet integration logic for major public blockchains (e.g., BTC, ETH) and Layer 2 solutions.
• Expertise in custodial system components (e.g., multi-signature workflows, private key sharding, HSM encryption) and familiarity with industry security standards (e.g., CCSS).
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong’s virtual asset regulatory framework and experience designing risk controls for anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions screening (e.g., OFAC).
• Exceptional cross-functional coordination and project management skills, capable of addressing complex demands from technical, compliance, and business teams.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), with the ability to draft compliance documentation and communicate with regulators.

 

Nice to have if you are:

• Familiar with compliance tools such as Chainalysis or Elliptic.
• Experienced in designing wallet systems compliant with multiple jurisdictions (e.g., Hong Kong, Singapore, EU MiCA).
