QA/Automation Tester Intern (3 months, Crypto Payment Technology)

About the Role:

We are partnered with an innovative Crypto Payments company developing a cutting-edge crypto payment application, who are looking to recruit a motivated QA/Automation Tester. The team’s product, currently in the MVP stage, is being built across smart contracts, web servers, web and mobile applications.

The intern will play a critical role in developing and executing automated tests to ensure the robustness and security of the smart contract and application layers, approaching testing with a hacker’s mindset to identify edge cases and potential vulnerabilities.

The successful candidate will join initially as a 3 month intern with flexibility to extend and considerations for part-time work during semester periods.

Key Responsibilities:

 ● Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for a four-layer system

 ● Learn and test smart contracts quickly, focusing on boundary/edge cases and potential exploits.

 ● Create comprehensive test cases to identify gaps and vulnerabilities in the system.

 ● Collaborate with developers to integrate automated testing into the development pipeline.

 ● Use Selenium and Python for web scraping and automation tasks.

 ● Think like a hacker to identify ways to break the smart contract or application.

 ● Deliver automated test suites that can be run with a single trigger.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Must-Have: Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.

● Nice-to-Have: Experience with Selenium for web automation.

● Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with smart contract testing or blockchain technology.

● Demonstrated competency in automation or scripting (e.g., personal/academic projects).

● Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying edge cases and vulnerabilities.

● Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies (e.g., smart contracts).

Preferred Qualities:

●  Proactive and curious mindset, with a passion for breaking systems to improve them.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.

● Interest in crypto, payments, or blockchain technology is a plus.
