Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to join us in building a secure cloud-based platform for the Hypori solution. Our team is working on delivering the next generation Hypori platform and is responsible for crafting and implementing innovative solutions and platform at scale. We are hiring for an experienced Engineering Manager who is enthusiastic about leading an engineering team to define, develop, and release innovative technology platform delivering high quality virtual workspace platforms in the cloud to the world. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for continued development, architecture evolution, and enhancement of our “customer first” SaaS platform. The Engineering Manager will demonstrate leadership exemplifying the philosophy of DevOps and the principle of infrastructure as code, along with ability to collaborate with multiple internal engineering teams and provide technology and security leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Converting high-level engineering plans into agile sprint plans with accurate effort estimation ensuring smooth and timely delivery
- Work with various technology leadership within the company to design and implement innovative solutions with AWS and other cloud provider in support of future product capabilities
- Continuously adding feature sets and improving quality of the Hypori virtual workspace platform
- Lead multiple scrum teams to ensure successful releases
- Manage cross functional software engineering teams to accomplish objectives and resolve problems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with at least 5 years of related work experience as a direct contributor
- Experience managing micro-services environments with CI/CD and micro-services promotion automation process
- Experience managing and supporting remote developers
- Full understanding of agile development processes, including how to lead and improve agile teams
- Strong grasp of Public Key Infrastructure and best security practices
- Experience in public cloud environment and services including AWS and other cloud service providers (AWS EC2 instance type, VPC, AWS LZA, EFS, EKS, etc.)
- Previous experience in leading Engineering teams while maintaining a hands-on role in code development
- Experience with SaaS platform technology stack (Java, React, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Have practical experience in SaaS platform development, automation, virtualization, orchestration, continuous integration, deployment, and implementation
- Familiar with Infrastructure as Code tools and have experience with container-base service deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, and Terraform
- Experience with orchestration/CI integration tools (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
- Good understanding of version control and git flow technique
- 5+ years of managing Engineering teams
- Current AWS certifications is a plus
- Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework is a plus

- Must be a problem solver, able to develop solutions to complex issues
- Must be adept at working in a matrixed position where results must be achieved across various departments without line authority. Comfortable working with all levels of the organization
- Excellent people management, communication, and presentation skills both written and oral. Must be effective with all levels of the organization
- Technical understanding to translate customer application needs to product requirements and to communicate product benefits to the channel and end users
Pay range:
$160,000 - $185,000 USD
