About the role
The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees the daily finance operations in terms of transaction processing. This position ensures timely and accurate transaction processing in respect of the Order-to-cash cycles, this including application of credit management policy, timely and accurate invoicing, collections and cash application. The manager establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies and procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the organization’s cash flow and financial health by managing customer accounts and fostering positive relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and guide team members, providing coaching, feedback, and support to help achieve individual and collective goals
- Provide focus on maintaining and improving transaction processes and systems to ensure the effective processing of financial and operational information ;
- Ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable including timely invoicing, payments receipt, dunning, release credit blocks, provisioning against doubtful debts etc.;
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and ensure timely collections of outstanding invoices.
- Analyze credit risk and establish credit limits for new and existing customers. Manage the credit management process
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to address customer inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status to senior management.
- Maintain an appropriate internal control environment in terms of O2C;
- Enforcing policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain work instructions
- If relevant, manage the credit insurance process
- If relevant, manage the execution and accounting of the receivable factoring and/ or invoicing discounting program, optimizing the liquidity and cash flow
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Degree in Accounting or other relevant field required
- Excellent communication/documentation skills (oral and written)
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- English very good, other language will be an asset
