About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable
    records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization;
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests;
  • Sort, code and match invoices;
  • Set up invoices for payment;
  • Book expenses and process expense reports;
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments;
  • Prepare and perform check runs;
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records;
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions;
  • Prepare analysis of accounts;
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date;
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues;
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries;
  • Assist with month-end closing;
  • Provide relevant information to external and internal auditors.
  • Establish and maintain work instructions


Requirements

  • Educational Level: Secondary vocational education+
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excell
  • Good command of English language
