About The Role
As a Global Data Management Senior Manager in our brand new Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to play a role in managing data accuracy and governance. You will design and construct Data Management Team with a global scope starting from scratch. You will play a pivotal role in managing our organization’s key data ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various systems and business areas. This will include designing master data strategy, collaborating with stakeholders, define data requirements, establish governance policies, and implement best practices to support our business objectives and drive excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Master Data Strategy / Management: design and implement the strategy; manage changes to master data, adhering to standards, validation rules, and governance processes
- Data Profiling and Validation: Conduct data profiling and validation across multiple systems
- Data Governance: Design and implement robust data governance processes and controls to maintain data quality, integrity, and security
- Data Requirements: Define data attributes, hierarchies, and relationships based on business needs, ensuring alignment across the organization
- Training and Support: design and implement training strategy and support to end-users on data management processes and quality controls
- Change Management: Participate in change boards to review and approve changes to data structures, definitions, and policies
In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our Global functions teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.
Our Regional Hub supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.
You will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow, within Data Management or wider Global IT team.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of recent experience in master data/data management, data governance, or related fields within an ERP IT system
- Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, dashboarding, and data quality measurements. Knowledge of SQL and/or Python is required
- Software Proficiency: Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint for data management, analysis & communication processes
- MDM Knowledge: Familiarity with MDM concepts, methodologies, and best practices
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team-oriented mindset
- Leadership skills: Experience managing global and matrix environment
Nice To Have
Knowledge or/and experience in InforLN is a plus
Language
Good written and spoken English is essential
Qualification / Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems / Supply Chain / Management / Finance / Data Science / Analytics, or a related field
