About the Role

Hyva is searching for a talented and motivated person to join our Global Business Intelligence/Data team. Our ideal candidate has 5+ years in a similar role, is hard-working, well-organized and willing to learn and grow. You should have genuine interest in BI development and an excellent understanding of BI concepts, tools and technologies.

We currently mainly develop in a Microsoft environment including On-Prem/Azure/Data Bricks/Fabric and Power Bi where we integrate data from more than 20 data sources that include our ERP and other key systems. You will use your strong technical and analytical skills and business insight to develop and maintain robust ETL process that results in a validated global data model and datasets. You will work with different stakeholders worldwide to understand and support their changing requirements.

As a member of our growing dynamic international team where you will be reporting directly to the Global Business Intelligence Manager based in the Netherlands, you will have the chance to progress rapidly as you work in all areas of the BI solution and are encouraged to stay ahead of the latest trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI capabilities. You will be based in our brand-new modern office in the center of Kuala Lumpur as part of our pioneer center of excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Designs, Develops, Implements, Monitors and Maintains robust Global BI Software necessary to extract, transform and load data from source systems or external providers into the Data Warehouse. (DWH)

• Acts as a liaison with the IT team to solve matters with DWH problems (system breakdown, network errors, etc.).

• Designs and develops reusable Datasets in Power BI and Azure to present complex data in an understandable and actionable format.

• Participates in the daily support activities and provides training when required.

• Drives innovation on the platform, ensuring the systems stay up to date with the latest technologies in data warehousing.

• Ensures efficient data processing including processing speed, data consistency of data attributes, naming conventions and element value types.

• Maintains and improves general security of the applications and controls access of end-users.

• Creates and maintains documentation that includes the design, requirements, and user manuals for the organization.

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data used for analysis. Implement data governance policies and practices

• Works with the Global Solutions Team to translate new business project requirements into technical solutions.

• Acts as a project leader on defined BI deliverables of business projects.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Degree holder in Information Systems, Computer Science or related disciplines

• 5+ years of extensive experience in a BI Engineer/Developer role with proved proficiency in:

- Programming: SQL is a must .Python/R is a Pre requisite

- Microsoft ETL tools and processes with SSIS, Data Bricks, Fabric, API’s

- Building reusable datasets in SSAS/SSAT/Power BI with use of MDX/DAX

• Strong English verbal and written skills.

• Understanding of cloud data services (e.g. Azure Fabric).

• Good business sense and a basic understanding of logistic, manufacturing, and financial business within an ERP system – Infor ERP is a plus

• Excellent programming and analytical skills, precise, results-oriented, and well-structured.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, with a passion for problem solving and investigation.

• Hands-on, flexible, and solution-oriented approach to your job & commitment to your ongoing development.

• Works independently and as part of a small dynamic team.
