Helm VP Client Solutions (Structuring & Enterprise RFPs)
Helm VP, Client Solutions (Structuring & Enterprise RFPs)
Full-time | Hybrid Onsite - NYC, 270 Madison Ave. | Helm – Private Markets Operating Platform
Who We Are
Helm is part of the iAltA ecosystem — a next-generation financial services platform purpose-built to power the future of private markets.
Helm is the modern operating platform for private markets — collapsing the fragmented tools, manual workflows, and disconnected data that define the industry today. Combining the strengths of Delio, Verivend, and Betterfront in a unified platform, Helm streamlines capital raising, investor relations, and ongoing fund operations for asset managers and private market firms across the full investment lifecycle.
At Helm, every leader must have growth-company DNA: operating with speed, clarity, resilience, and accountability in a complex, high-change environment. We are an AI-enabled organization; we expect all team members to actively leverage AI tools to work smarter, move faster, and continuously improve outcomes. Things move fast, and we value action, intention, and teamwork above all else.
What We’re Looking For
- A client focused investment expert with extensive experience within private markets who can materially impact win rates on deals with sophisticated buyers (e.g. asset managers, GPs, MFOs, wealth managers, private banks, market infrastructure providers)
- You know how to drive the complex, high-stakes deals that require bespoke solution design and formal institutional procurement processes
- NYC based candidates preferred; however, we would consider exceptional candidates who are not currently located in NYC
In This Role, You Will
- Advise the Product & Engineering teams on the feature roadmap and solution design requirements that consistently surface in RFPs; scope custom builds & integrations or package capabilities required to close strategic deals; partner with the sales team to figure out how our capabilities can be molded to suit client X or partner Y
- Build pricing models for non-standard arrangements: tiered licensing, AUM-based fees, rev share with partners, white-label structures, volume commitments
- Negotiate master service agreements, data licensing terms, and SLAs with enterprise legal and procurement teams
- Own the deal economics — modeling unit economics, margin impact, and payback period on bespoke structures before presenting to leadership for approval
- Translate dense technical or regulatory questions into compelling narrative that differentiates the platform
To Be Successful, You Will Have
- Expertise on how global financial institutions evaluate and procure private markets infrastructure— coaching GTM teams on enterprise buying dynamics
- The technical domain expertise to manage RFPs
- Deep knowledge of Helm’s customers (mid market enterprise) and a strong network within the private markets ecosystem
You Will Embody iAltA’s Core Values
- Intentional, but Opportunistic – We Say Yes!
- Adaptability
- Loyalty
- Team First, Ego Last
- Always Learning
Compensation & Benefits
- $175,000-$250,000 base salary based on experience and location, plus significant bonus potential
- Equity participation across iAltA and relevant portfolio companies
- Flexible time off policies
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
- Opportunity to shape the infrastructure of the next-generation private markets ecosystem
