Marketing Operations Manager

*2 days on site in Boston required (hybrid)

The Revenue Operations team at IANS is looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven Marketing Operations Manager to oversee the management, segmentation, and optimization of our marketing database and optimize our marketing automation system and processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, enhance data accuracy, and drive effective targeting for marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial third-party contact databases, marketing automation platforms, and data management best practices.

The Marketing Operations Manager will work closely with revenue operations, marketing and sales teams.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, collaborate with senior leaders and make an impact.

Responsibilities

Marketing Database and Automation Management:

  • Manage daily database operations with a focus on accuracy, hygiene, buyer types, segmentation, and enrichment
  • Implement data cleansing, enrichment, and persona tagging for targeted outreach
  • Oversee inbound lead flow and ensure seamless integration between Pardot, Salesforce, and other tools
  • Build and maintain nurture programs, lead scoring models, and automated workflows

Process Improvement & Optimization:

  • Identify and improve inefficiencies in marketing workflows and automation
  • Align cross-functional processes with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations
  • Recommend and implement tools to enhance system performance and scalability

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Generate reports on campaign performance, database health, and data vendor impact
  • Analyze trends to optimize segmentation, lead generation, and nurturing
  • Apply insights to inform strategy and improve marketing operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or related field
  • 5+ years in marketing operations with focus on database management, automation, and third-party data
  • Proficient in Salesforce and marketing automation tools (e.g., setup, campaigns, reporting)
  • Advanced user of ZoomInfo, Seamless.ai, D&B, and similar platforms
  • com proficiency is a bonus
  • Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy best practices
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in A/B testing, lead scoring, and campaign optimization
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
