About INTERACTIVE BROKERS!
Interactive Brokers seeks an Associate to join its Global Client Payments & Cashiering team. The Global Client Payments & Cashiering team oversees deposits and withdrawals for the brokerage’s 3mm+ clients in over 200 countries and across 25+ currencies. This includes cashiering operations, bank partnership management, and client payment methods.
About your Team:
This is an entry-level position with significant opportunities for growth. The Associate will be expected to process incoming deposits, which include various global payment methods, and physical and mobile checks. The position will provide opportunities to participate in projects to make a range of improvements, from process automation to enhancing the client experience. The ideal candidate will be expected to be a problem solver, well-organized, and reliable team player. Daily communication with various departments, such as client service, technology, risk & compliance is expected. The candidate will be expected to pass their FINRA Series 99 Operations Professional Exam within the first year of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage dedicated client deposit methods, such as physical check deposits.
- Monitor and resolve client deposit exceptions.
- Interface with the bank to ensure proper processing of client deposits.
- Resolve transaction discrepancies between the firm’s internal systems and the bank statement.
- Work with compliance, risk, client service, and other internal groups to resolve client issues related to deposits and withdrawals.
- Implement process and system improvements to the cashiering systems and payment methods.
- Participate in projects that help improve operations and enhance the client experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or other quantitative field.
- A high degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
