About your team:
The Interactive Brokers Group of companies seeks a transactional attorney to join a full-service in-house family office supporting Thomas Peterffy and his family. The family office’s mission is to provide comprehensive support to the Peterffy family, including long-term wealth management and investment structuring, tax planning, accounting, and business transaction oversight and execution. The attorney will assist the team in providing legal support to the family office entities. The position is located in Greenwich, Connecticut.
What will be your responsibilities:
- Prepare, implement and manage all aspects of the family’s legal matters, including contract reviews, governance structures, investment documentation, employment-related matters, trust matters and regulatory compliance.
- Manage third-party legal relationships and collaborate with outside professionals to ensure the family’s objectives are implemented effectively and efficiently.
- Assist with legal due diligence for direct investments, co-investments and fund investments across equity, debt and alternative asset classes.
- Assist with corporate, family office, trust company and trust governance.
- Create and maintain internal policies and procedures.

- 6+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Be a self-starter and a confident individual.
- Professional and discrete; able to handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities while managing a substantial workload.
