We are seeking several motivated individuals to join our API support team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical and technical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and explain complex subjects, and the capacity to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide written support to clients developing and troubleshooting applications that connect through our APIs, including those used for algorithmic trading.
  • Assist clients in integrating API applications with third-party software (e.g., charting platforms).
  • Support third-party institutions in integrating their applications with IBKR systems.
  • Build and maintain a resource library for clients, including code snippets, documentation, and consulting materials.
  • Develop test and demonstration programs using the IB API to serve as reference implementations for clients.
  • Contribute to internal development efforts, including the creation of custom tools for internal teams and Client Service.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 1+ years of coursework and/or professional experience programming in Java and Python; familiarity with C# and C++ is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Linux Terminal and Windows command line tools.
  • Working knowledge of Git workflows.
  • Strong understanding of REST API architecture.
  • Excellent written communication skills for handling client inquiries via email and online chat.
  • Fast learner with a proactive and helpful attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in a European language is an advantage.

Beneficial skills:
